The Freeze Out Rule
Freeze Rule: The Freeze Rule is in effect for ALL X01 games playing with four scores.
When any player reaches zero, the game is over. The team with the
LOWEST COMBINED score wins. If a game ends in a tie, the team that
reaches zero first wins.
EXAMPLE 1:
| PLAYER 1 | PLAYER 2 | PLAYER 3 | PLAYER 4 |
| 40 | 00 | 10 | 49 |
This time the players 2 &
4 win because their combined score of 49 is less than
the combined score of 50 for players 1 & 3.
EXAMPLE 2:
| PLAYER 1 | PLAYER 2 | PLAYER 3 | PLAYER 4 |
| 40 | 00 | 10 | 51 |
This time the Players 1 &
3 team wins because their combined score of 50 is
less than the combined score of 51 for Players 2 & 4.
(Player 2 was 'frozen' when he/she took out the game)
NOTE:
The player who is 'frozen', in this case Player 2, should try and get
as low as
possible without going out, until his/her partner's score is lower than
the other team's total.
In other words: If your PARTNER'S
score is higher than the COMBINED score of the
other team, then you are FROZEN and CANNOT take out the game.
(Well, you can but you'll lose)
If, your partner's score is
equal to or less than the other team's combined score,
then you are NOT frozen.
